The Bulgarian State Agricultural Fund announced that on March 16 and 17 it will transfer subsidies to mandatory fruit and vegetable support schemes for the 2020 campaign. Bids on eight linked support schemes are now determined.
They are appointed by order of the Minister of Agriculture, Food and Forest Desislav Tanev. Their size increased by an average of 15 percent compared to support in 2019. The growth is due to overestimated control on the part of the MHCH and DFZ, whose goal is to prevent applications for related support without real production.
A vegetable known to us under the name “bell pepper” is not called by anyone other than the Bulgarians themselves and the inhabitants of the former USSR. In other countries, the name "paprika" is common, or just pepper. In Egypt it is called "green pepper", and in South America it is called "sweet chili."
According to the related support scheme tomatoes, cucumbers and eggplant the rate is:
- up to 30 ha - 781 dollars / ha;
- more than 30 hectares - 520 dollars.
Indicated payment for one allowable hectare for support pepper is:
- 1114 dollars for the first 30 hectares;
- more than 30 ha - $ 743 / ha.
Scheme subsidy carrots, cabbage, watermelons and melons is:
- 505 dollars for the first 30 hectares;
- 337 dollars / ha for each following.
Support Size potatoes, onions and garlic makes up:
- 1775 USD / ha for the first 30 ha;
- 517 USD / ha for permissible areas above 30 hectares.
For fruits of the main group the norm is set:
- 1044 dollars for the first 30 hectares;
- more than 30 ha - 696 dollars.
According to the support scheme plums and dessert grapes will be paid:
- 597 USD / ha for the first 30 ha;
- 398 dollars / ha for each following.
With mandatory support greenhouse vegetables farmers with acceptable areas and who have proved the required yield will receive 7574 dollars per hectare.
