Cauliflower puree is the very case when you do not need extra words and extra waste of time. In this case, everything is simple and clear, what you can easily see when you get acquainted with the simple cooking technology, find all the declared (and very affordable) ingredients and go to the kitchen.
Mushrooms, mushroom oil and mushroom seasonings are perfectly combined with mashed cabbage!
You will need:
- 1 head of cauliflower;
- 1 liter of milk;
- 0.5 l of water;
- 1 tbsp good quality butter;
- salt.
We need to boil the cabbage, divided into inflorescences, in salted milk diluted with water. Cooking time is about 15 minutes. After the cabbage is cooked, let it cool slightly in the broth.
After that, remove the inflorescences from the milk-water mixture and put in a blender bowl. A tablespoon of butter will go there (you can replace it with olive). Puree the cabbage with a blender until the consistency is uniform.
Mashed cabbage is very easy with a blender!
Voila! Your meal is ready! But we have another little secret that will allow you to make mashed potatoes even tastier and more aromatic. The fact is that if you are a happy owner of truffle oil (which, by the way, is sold in almost all large supermarkets), add a couple of drops to a bowl with mashed cabbage.
If you do not have such oil, do not be sad - you can replace it with a pinch of dry mushroom seasoning, mushroom powder made independently from dried forest mushrooms.
Fresh vegetables, root vegetables and lean meats balance mashed cauliflower
The ideal pair for cauliflower puree is tender cutlets of fish or poultry, pickled or fresh vegetables. And if you cook steamed meat and add it to mashed cabbage, which, by the way, is very low-calorie, you will get a balanced and tasty dinner that will not burden your digestive system.
