According to preliminary data, the damage caused by floods to agriculture in the Amur Region and the Russian Federation as a whole amounted to about one and a half billion rubles.
Colossal crop losses are hard to make up for, said Oleg Turkov, who heads the Ministry of Agriculture in the affected region.
According to the head of the Ministry of Agriculture of the Amur Region, at the moment, the introduction of an emergency regime is expected in the region. The cause is abundant floods that literally destroyed the crop on the territory of agricultural land of one hundred and fifty-seven agro-industrial facilities.
In total, due to weather disasters in the Amur region, fifteen areas were affected. The total area of the territories that were flooded is about one hundred and forty thousand hectares.
The spilled rivers destroyed the crop on the lands located in the floodplain of the reservoirs - in this case we can talk about the destruction of the crop on fifteen thousand hectares.
Overmoistening did not leave crops a chance to harvest in one hundred twenty three thousand hectares.
It is impossible not to take into account the heavy rainfall in the form of hail, which caused irreparable damage to agricultural land, the total area of which exceeded one thousand three hundred and forty hectares.
