Recently it became known that the Vostochnoye agricultural enterprise intends to create a large-scale cattle breeding farm on the territory of the Big Ussuri Island (which is divided between the Russian Federation and the People’s Republic of China).
It is known that the project organizers intend to rent about five thousand hectares of island land and carry out this operation without bargaining.
It is important to add that the bulls for the development of the farm will be supplied by leading breeding farms from Transbaikalia, as well as from the Republic of Buryatia. It is noted that investors have already reached an agreement with cattle suppliers, and have signed contracts.
Based on information shared by the public at the Khabarovsk Territory Administration press center, project investors intend to primarily produce cattle meat in the amount of about five hundred and fifty tons annually.
However, over the years the enterprise will develop and, without a doubt, it will be possible to increase its production rate to two thousand tons per year. The organizers are optimistic about the future and are confident that the first batch of beef from the Amur Island will go on sale in the spring of 2020.
The initiators do not plan to stop on the construction of a meat farm, and they are also planning to build a milk processing enterprise in the neighborhood.
