Next year, they promise in the Ministry of Agriculture of the Russian Federation, winemakers will receive state financial assistance, one and a half times the amount of the subsidy for the current year.
In 2018, the industry received support in the amount of slightly less than one and a half billion rubles, and in 2019 the figure will increase to three billion in the same currency. This became known during the presentation of the state project Days of Russian Wines.
The action was established with the support of two ministries - agriculture and industry and trade. The main goal of the project is to strengthen the positive image and increase the recognition of domestic wineries.
According to experts, in the past few years, serious steps have been taken in the country to develop winemaking at the state level. I am glad that today Russian producers make wine from domestic raw materials collected in the country's vineyards. Imported raw materials are practically not involved in the process.
To a large extent, the positive dynamics in winemaking is influenced by state support for winegrowers. Every year it grows. And in three years it increased at least five times. Needless to say, in 2018 alone, farmers laid 1/3 more vineyards than in 2017.
Grape growers are pleased that state aid comes to them at different stages of growing grape bushes: from planting to making wine.
It is noteworthy that today's volume of the all-Russian grape harvest is about 460 thousand tons (more than 80 centners of the product per hectare). The leader in the industry is the Krasnodar Territory, leaving the right to second place to the Republic of Dagestan.
The end of the grape harvest is scheduled for late November. Until this time, residents of the country can take part in wine tastings in Russian stores, consult with experts during the selection of a grape drink, and take advantage of discounts on their favorite wine. Experts are sure that such an action will allow the Russians to fully appreciate the achievements of domestic winemakers.
