The Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Belarus shared disappointing information related to the influence of weather conditions on the work of local farmers.
The fact is that heavy rainfall in the form of showers significantly slows down the harvesting campaign on the Belarusian fields.
According to experts, the percentage of moisture in the soil is significantly increased. And if the weather forecasts come true. And in the near future, the majority of the country's regions will drop below freezing air temperature.
Freezing can have a detrimental effect on the yield of many crops. Including damage may be caused to the leaves of corn, which will reduce the quality of the harvested silage. Leading specialists of the Belarusian Hydrometeorological Center advise farmers not to leave dug and harvested crops on agricultural tracts.
It should be noted that in the vast territory of the country, the soil is perfectly moistened at a depth of ten centimeters from the soil surface. This suggests that the land is ready for winter sowing.
However, in regions such as the Vitebsk and Mogilev regions, the soil is too moist, which indicates the difficulty of agricultural work in these areas.
