The beekeepers from the Honey Factory group, working in the Nikolaev region, have recently got the opportunity to monitor the condition of bees, being far from the apiary. In this they are helped by smart hives developed together with the BeePro company.
A group of beekeepers, who were united by the Ukrainian project for the business development of horticulture, together with BeePro developed a prototype of a smart hive Smart beehive.
In the hives there is a sensor with which the system monitors the processes occurring in the hive, makes measurements according to various indicators, all current data on the state in the hive are recorded and reflected in the smartphone or computer of the beekeeper online.
Now the Nikolaev beekeepers know how the bees feel, how the bee family develops, whether it is time to transport the hives to a new place and if insects have been poisoned.
Thanks to the electronic computing device, beekeepers constantly keep their finger on the pulse of life in the hives. “Smart beehive” allows you to monitor the weight of the hive, weather conditions, the temperature inside the hive and overboard, the level of solar activity.
A number of innovations are already at the testing stage. Soon, a smart hive will count the number of bees. A smart hive is a real breakthrough for beekeepers.
With this “tool” the beekeeper is not tied to the apiary all season, saves time and other resources, has the ability to mobile data exchange, and can also make decisions quickly.
