The domestic agricultural company Eleti Alba LLC is going to increase the production of seedlings of Italian hazelnuts from 200 thousand per year by 2021.

Since 2016, the plantings of Italian hazelnuts and the popularization of its cultivation in the Russian Federation.

The farm understands that growing a nut in the republic has good prospects. She sees a large number of farmers interested in the product. Based on this, the company wants to significantly increase the production of seedlings of Italian hazelnuts.

In the previous year, the company produced about 200 thousand seedlings of culture. By 2021, it is planned to increase their production to 1 million per year, the Ministry of Agriculture of North Ossetia reports.

The first garden of Italian hazelnuts in North Ossetia this year will be expanded to 130 hectares. The resulting nut will be exported to Uzbekistan. In the near future - the planting of hazelnut seedlings in a mountainous area as early as 2019. Harvest at the level of up to 3.5 tons / ha. in the "Eleti Alba" intend to collect by 2022-2023.
