In the Leningrad region, the start of the work of a new livestock facility. We are talking about a farm for breeding rabbits and producing rabbit meat.

It is reported that the complex is designed for five thousand individuals, and representatives of Leningrad family-owned livestock farms took part in the construction of this facility. Financial support for the construction of a new enterprise was also provided from the state budget fund.

It is known that at least 12 million rubles were invested in the implementation of the project. The lion's share of these subsidies came as grant assistance to novice farmers. Approaching the planned livestock program with full responsibility, the project initiators purchased a breeding stock of French Hikol rabbits for seven million rubles.

It will not be superfluous to note that the new livestock breeding complex for breeding rabbits is based on the expanses of peasant farming in the village of Usadische. The head of the farm is an experienced breeder Igor Stolbov.

Before purchasing rabbits, he built for them special enclosures equipped with an automated climate control system, feed distribution and drinking water supply.

Next to the enclosures, production facilities for cutting rabbit carcasses and preparing meat for sale were located. Estimated production capacity will be about 45 tons of rabbit meat per year.
