In the Khmelnitsky region, they plan to master another direction of the rural business - the creation of farms for growing edible snails.
This product is gaining more and more demand, and the niche of its production is not yet filled.
“It is no secret that the issue of rural employment is always relevant. Now we are actively implementing the direction of creating family farms and beekeeping cooperatives. It is always easier to work together than alone, because the issue of marketing products is always an acute issue.
The idea of snail farms was spied on by the inhabitants of Ternopol. We also talked with representatives of the Ukrainian association of snail producers, who talk about production and are ready to provide all the necessary information to those wishing to do this business, ”said Vadim Kononchuk, deputy director of the Department of Agro-Industrial Development of the Khmelnitsky Regional State Administration.
According to him, this direction is a kind of niche that Khmelnitsky can fill. “Now farmers do not have time to cover the demand for this product. In addition, there are prospects for creating associations and cooperatives in order to form batches of products abroad, where it is most in demand, ”added Vadim Kononchuk.
Everyone who is interested in the direction of the snailing business is asked to contact the regional departments of agro-industrial development and the economic development department of the region.
