2019 will go down in the history of the world economy and agriculture as a period of five percent decline in pork production worldwide.
According to authoritative analysts, over the next ten years, production will gradually be minimized in many ways, and for the reason that demand for this type of product is already beginning to fall significantly in the territory of Asian states.
Of course, the reason for this was the attack of the African swine fever virus, which has been terrorizing the countries of Asia and other parts of the world since last 2018.
Now, residents of China and its neighbors are trying to stimulate an increase in pork production, however, the spread of plague among the pig population does not allow local pastoralists to obtain the desired results.
It will not be superfluous to note that pork imports to Asian countries are growing at the same time; in 2020, experts predict that pig meat supplies to the PRC market will increase by seventy-five percent and will total over two million tons.
Representatives of the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations shared this information with the public as part of their annual report.
