The company List-Ruchki (Poltava region), which is part of the Astarta-Kiev agricultural holding, has re-equipped its technical park in accordance with the needs of organic farming.
This was announced by the director of the company Alexander Khomenko. According to him, the company acquired several tractors, soil cultivating aggregates - shearing, rotary and disk harrows, cultivators, seeders, a skating rink, etc., which are more suitable for organic farming.
For example, the harrow helps to destroy weed seedlings and destroy the soil crust. But for corn, you need a technique that can mulch and squeeze plant debris.
To work with the purchased equipment, the List-Ruchki agricultural company invited several new machine operators, and also hires people for manual weeding.
Recall that the farm harvested the first grain crop grown without the use of pesticides in 2017. In 2018, the company's management announced the transition to organic farming.
It is noteworthy that in free areas, to improve the soil structure, enrich it with nitrogen and inhibit the growth of weeds, the farm grows siderat plants, which are used as organic fertilizers.
The final transition to organic farming in the agricultural company “List-Ruchki” will be completed in 2020.
