In the Krasnodar Territory, the culture of aquaculture flourishes. In 2018, local fishermen sent more than 160 tons of various shellfish to the domestic and foreign markets, which are considered to be delicacies.
We are talking about Kuban oysters and mussels, which have long won a lot of admirers among connoisseurs of elite gastronomy both in Russia and far beyond its borders.

Today, on the Krasnodar Black Sea coast, there are more than 35 sites for the cultivation of mussels and oysters. These sites occupy territories with a total area of 5.7 thousand hectares. This is not the intention of farmers to stop and plan to expand their mollusk “fields” in the near future. The lion's share of Krasnodar aquatic products will go to the markets of southern Russian resorts, where sea delicacies are in high demand.
