After decades of holding the exhibition in the exhibition buildings of the Expocenter Moscow, this year World Food Moscow was first held in the Crocus Expo building, which is easily accessible by metro. Where in other years fruit and vegetable companies were concentrated in one pavilion, now they were scattered throughout the building.
About 30 thousand took part in the exhibition. The vast majority of visitors are Russians.
Currently, World Food is a trade fair for producers of fruits and vegetables, which, in addition to fruits and vegetables, presents fish, meat, coffee, etc. The buildings are connected to each other, unlike the previous location, where the exhibition complex consisted of from several separate buildings.
For many years, International World Food has been a household name, and even after the boycott, European companies continue to be present at this exhibition as exhibitors. Italian, French, Dutch and Belgian companies took part in the event.
So, the Belgian VLAM has long been participating in an exhibition with a group booth. In addition to Russian exhibitors, there were also a large number of exhibitors from China, Korea, Egypt, Turkey, Azerbaijan and Poland. This makes the exhibition very international.
There is talk in the corridors that Iran is now an important supplier to the Russian market. According to traders, Iran supplies quality peppers, tomatoes and lettuce.
The Conference pear is still the most popular in Russia, but the boycott forced the Russians to look for a different supplier except Belgium and the Netherlands. But many countries cannot provide such a high-quality product with a long shelf life, such as Belgium and the Netherlands.
Apparently, the climatic conditions in Belgium and the Netherlands are the most optimal for growing the Conference. In a favorable year, 40 tons / ha are harvested in these countries. pear fruit.
