The gradual stabilization of the epizootic situation in ASF and rabies of animals is observed in Transcarpathia, said Ivan Guledz, representative of the Main Directorate of the State Food and Beverage Service in the Transcarpathian Region, during a briefing.
The meeting was also attended by the head of the Food Safety and Veterinary Medicine Directorate Julius Shimon and other relevant specialists. 2017-2018 in Transcarpathia were characterized by a rather unstable situation with the incidence of animals ASF, said Ivan Guledza.
In 2018, in Transcarpathia, 11 cases of ASF were detected among representatives of wild fauna.In order to prevent the spread of the disease virus to neighboring settlements, forestry, in cooperation with the State Emergency Service and the State Food and Beverage Service, took a number of preventive measures.
In 2019, not a single outbreak of African swine fever was recorded in the Transcarpathian region.But three transitional dysfunctional points were revealed - Tyachiv, Perechinsky and Beregovsky districts. Throughout March, recreational activities were carried out in all these areas.
