It was previously reported that in 2019, industrial potato producers in Ukraine plan to devote an area of ​​7052 hectares for its cultivation, which is 25% more than in 2018, Oksana, executive director of the Ukrainian Association of Potato Manufacturers, said in a statement. Ruzhenkova.

The plans of agricultural producers became known as a result of studying the results of internal monitoring among members of the association, which are a representative sample, since one fifth of all industrial areas under potatoes are concentrated in their hands.

According to experts, 5067 hectares will be allocated for marketable potatoes, 1435 hectares for seed potatoes, and potatoes will be grown for 550 hectares for processing.
