In recent years, self-made jam is gaining popularity not only in the former Soviet Union, where it has long been the main dessert, but also in European and Western countries. With the advent of exotic fruits, it has become possible to mix a wide variety of fruits that previously seemed incompatible. So there was a tasty and easy to make jam from blackcurrant and oranges, which recipes will be described in the article.
Selection and preparation of ingredients
To prepare the described jam, you should choose ripe currant berries so that the taste of the future dessert has a smell and taste characteristic of this berry. Fruits should be large enough and have a rich black color. Oranges should also be ripe, juicy and large.
Important! Jam is quite useful preservation, especially in the winter. However, do not forget that it contains a sufficiently large amount of sugar, which can adversely affect the health of some groups of people, for example, diabetics.
Before cooking, rinse and sort out the currants, then dry on a napkin. The peel of oranges must be washed thoroughly and preferably scalded with boiling water for greater disinfection.
